Spicy Salmon Sushi Bake Recipe

  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 pound salmon fillets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 1 teaspoon wasabi
  • 2 cups nori sheets
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Rinse the sushi rice until the water runs clear and then cook it in water according to package instructions.
  3. Meanwhile, season the salmon with olive oil, salt, and soy sauce. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until cooked through.
  4. In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise, sriracha, and wasabi.
  5. Once the salmon is cooked, flake it and mix with the spicy mayonnaise.
  6. In a baking dish, layer half of the cooked sushi rice, followed by the salmon mixture, and top with the remaining rice.
  7. Cover with nori sheets and bake for another 10 minutes.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

  • This dish can be topped with avocado or sesame seeds for extra flavor.
  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or less sriracha.
