- 2 large sweet potatoes
- 4 slices turkey bacon
- 1 medium onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 4 cups vegetable broth
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
- Cook the turkey bacon in a large pot over medium heat until crispy. Remove and chop, leaving the drippings in the pot.
- Add olive oil, chopped onion, and minced garlic to the pot. Sauté until onions are translucent.
