Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.
  3. Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, mix the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
  6. Add the peppermint extract and stir well.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  8. Let it cool before serving.
