  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 slices rye bread
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat and sauté the onions until caramelized.
  2. In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce to create the secret sauce.
  3. Form the ground beef into patties and season to taste.
  4. Grill the patties on medium heat until cooked through, adding a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty near the end to melt.
  5. Spread the secret sauce on one side of each slice of rye bread.
