  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups sliced carrots
  • 2 cups celery, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the chicken in chicken broth until tender. Remove the chicken and set aside to cool.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk and melted butter to form a dough.
  3. Bring the broth to a boil and add carrots, celery, and onion. Cook until tender.
  4. Shred the chicken and return it to the pot.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of dough into the boiling broth. Reduce heat and simmer until dumplings are cooked through.
  6. Stir in parsley before serving.
