Heavenly Karpatka Cake Recipe

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a saucepan, combine water and butter; bring to a boil.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in flour.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time until smooth.
  5. Spread half of the mixture in a greased baking dish.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes.
  7. Remove and cool.
  8. Whip cream with sugar and vanilla until stiff.
  9. Spread cream over the cooled base.
  10. Top with remaining cake mixture and cool again.

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of sugar.
  • Can be topped with chocolate shavings for added flavor.
