This Gingerbread Tiramisu is the perfect holiday dessert, blending the classic flavors of gingerbread with the creamy indulgence of tiramisu.

  • 1 cup brewed coffee, cooled
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups gingerbread cookies, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the brewed coffee with a splash of rum if desired.
  2. In another bowl, whisk the cream cheese and mascarpone cheese until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip the cream and sugar together until peaks form, then fold into the cheese mixture.
  4. Stir in the ground ginger and cinnamon.
  5. Dip the gingerbread cookies briefly in the coffee and layer them in a serving dish.
  6. Add a layer of the cheese mixture on top of the cookies.
  7. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with the cheese mixture.
  8. Dust with cocoa powder and refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add a dash of nutmeg.
  • Use homemade gingerbread cookies for the best flavor.
